AHS Physician Referral Program The American Hemochromatosis Society (AHS) is building a referral list of physicians who are currently diagnosing and treating iron overload, hemochromatosis, patients. If you are a doctor who would like to be included on this list, or a patient who would like to have his/her doctor listed, please contact Sandra Thomas at: mail@americanhs.org If you find a doctor from this list, be sure to tell them that you learned about them from the American Hemochromatosis Society (AHS) Disclaimer: Even though the American Hemochromatosis Society has made every effort to check out the practices of the Physician Referral Program members by way of personally meeting, talking to and/or patient referrals, etc., some doctors provided on this list may not be as knowledgeable about hemochromatosis as others. It is still important for patients and physicians alike to understand that every case of hemochromatosis is different and patients need to develop a good doctor/patient relationship using all of the current screening, diagnosing, treating and maintenance tools available.
